post itt every time an otherwise competent thrash metal band expects you to, IN A MONTH, be able to play thrash drums at 210 bpm at a real festival gig with a previous combined band drumming experience of 3 rehearsals with a garage level heavy metal band that doesn't have any real songs

It's almost two months man

edit: more like 1½ I suppose

Not really since I need to time buses and crap (including actually settling in), but like I said, a few emergency rehearsals would be ace. You more or less know the songs, just bring drumstix to work to practice speed and stamina all day every day and this'll work out fine.

Doesn't that computing machine you're using have an IM client of some kind?

I'm doing late hours at home, stringing together and summing up a couple editorial comments from The Wall Street Journal and the International Herald Tribune on Sarkozy's foreign political agenda. Worthless shit. Listening to Sturmpercht in the process.

I'll be up late studying the shit I learned 2 years ago for my job interview tomorrow morning. I sent in my application and got a call for an interview 10 minutes later. WTF!?

Are we supposed to be impressed? At one of my old jobs I worked 10.5-12 hour shifts for 4 or 5 nights in a row, constantly.

If this is desk work, It is I who is not impressed by thee.

BTW- I don't think Erik was bragging about how long his shift is running. Either way, you guys work with wholesome white Swedes, which I wouldn't consider work at all. Ever have to communicate with a darky?!?! Every night I clock in feels like a day on the Clotilde.

Black guys are still better than drug addicts, drunk ass natives and all the shitheads from highschool that hated you then and hate you now... because you were right, they aren't going anywhere, they couldn't even make it to "pumping gas".

Then do this 12 hours a night, all night. It makes every job afterwards seem significantly better than it really is.

I give my work a REALLY hard time about all the pressure they put on us to work overtime.
I want to put in my 44 hours a week and FUCK OFF to anyone trying to get me to stay longer.

Sucks when you're providing a service to a business and they rely on you, but you just aren't willing to slave away for 12+ hours a day even if they're gonna pay you for it. Maybe I make too big a deal of it.

I just have the attitude that work shouldn't and isn't going to be my life. Fuck em. My time, not theirs.
