Powerman 5000

I'll listen to them every now and again. They're that kind of light hearted pseudo-metal that I really have to be in the mood for. Tonight The Stars Revolt! is a solid album. The rest of their catalog not so much, IMO.
 
I liked their debut the best, when they had the percussionist instead of the 2nd guitarist. Probably the most seamless blend of funk and rock I ever heard, even more so than Faith No More. When they changed their sound, however, I think they went right down the shitter.
 
I enjoy(ed) Tonight the Stars Revolt! Even better was the fact they carried the pulpy 50s sci fi theme over into the whole design of the cd booklet and case
