Hey, bumping this thread up cause I started doing this. Here's my mix, I don't really like it at all, but I'm having trouble controlling stuff like the cymbals, and trying to imitate the guitar tone of the original. I started adding some keyboards by listening to the original, but I'm having a hard time distinguishing the notes on the second part so I just have them on the first part. I will also do vocals.

Bringing up this old thread ^^ i improved since that time a lot, so i think i will reamp/remix this one soon. @DanLights could you give me your Keytrack? I would like to include it, also in the Multitracks. Someone out there could add vocals??

I will do a mix....i wish i could do vox but i cant haha.

@DanLights...the snare is too compressed & loud and the drums too quiet. Guitars sound ok but maybe can be better. Bass sits ok too. It's not a bad mix but can be improved (easy said , I know ). WOuld be awesome with a good singer.

@DanLights...the snare is too compressed & loud and the drums too quiet. Guitars sound ok but maybe can be better. Bass sits ok too. It's not a bad mix but can be improved (easy said , I know ). WOuld be awesome with a good singer.

Since I realized I'm actually somewhere I like with this mix, I decided to get more serious and fix the midi, cause the drums were wrong in the intro and the midi mapping was weird in some other parts, apart from automating snare, bass distorsion and other things to work better with the dynamic changes in the song. Now I just need to take the time to actually tab out the keyboard parts I'm missing. I will do vocals the week after the 23rd of May if everything goes according to plan, I'll have some cool mics at home cause I'm recording a band over the weekend.

My final mix with vocals and keyboards! The first verse is sung by my wife, the rest is me. Both the mix and the vocals are in no way similar to the original, I can't imitate Aaron so I decided to do it my way instead, I think it's pretty cool, hope you like it.

Lars, I'll send you the tracks later so you can put it up with your files, but I'll send you my singing tracks only, she doesn't want her tracks floating around. The singing tracks were digitally tuned, we are not good singers
