PRAESEPE – The 6th Extinction
On November 30th, 2015 Damned Pages will release „The 6th Extinction” - new full-length album
by Praesepe.
Praesepe was created in Cieszyn (PL), now resides in London (UK). After recording demos and
stabilising the line-up, the band released the following albums:
NGC 2632 v M44 (2006)
Vesperae (2011)
Hybrid Creation (2012)
Acedia - Spiritual Despair (2014)

The new album is a great piece of atmospheric black metal. However, you can hear in Praesepe’s
music some death or even doom metal influences. Precise and well-composed tracks can remind of
Blut Aus Nord or their younger brothers from Smohalla, while clear atmospheric parts associate with
Lunar Aurora, Helrunar or in some aspects with North or Graveland. It’s easy to find more associations
as the material is diverse and will definitely satisfy the most sophisticated listener's tastes.
Album was recorded in SweatBox Studio, London in February 2015, while mixes & mastering were
done by Nihil in Czyściec Studio, Katowice (PL) in April 2015.
„As Above, So Below” cover artwork was created by Dariusz Zawiązalec (Black Forest Forge).
The album will include five tracks, with total playing time of 42 minutes:
