As Metalhead said.. dunno how long it'll take to be implemented. Like speaking into a computer and it writing for you has been around for like 10.. maybe even 15? years now.. but its really not used very much because its so hard to get accurate responses, because the environment can differ so much. So while it may work in a lab, or with the few people testing, getting it to work with masses of people is very hard.

Nonetheless.. watching him do all that stuff on a piece of paper is quite extraordinary. But where does the computing power come from? Do you need a PDA in your pocket or something?

Every shot of him interacting with that thing was just a staged special effect. I doubt it can come near pulling off any of that stuff.

How long will it take for the recognition aspect to work worth a damn?

Like when he snapped a picture of that piechart, instantly projected it and then started graphically manipulating it as if it was part of a program specifically designed for that. Horseshit.
