My firepod FP10 was working yesterday while tracking a band. when i usually turn it on, it goes red, then sync's to blue. now when i turn it on, it stays blue, and the computer does NOT recognize it. Can you please get back to me ASAP on how i could fix this?

Well do the usual stuff. Reinstall drivers, etc.

I am not sure if they revised the FP10 from the Firepod. But the Firepod's are known for having something really flaky about their firewire connection. In fact I have another one on my bench right now. Everyone I know that has one has had problems.

Unfortunately it has to go back to Presonus for repair.

I would try finding a Mac and plug it into that. If the firepod works on a mac and not on your pc then you know it's not a hardware problem. That's the presonus recommended I do when I had a similar situation. Unfortunately for me, it was a problem with the unit itself and had to be send in for repair.

It's because Presonus sucks the cack.

3 of their products pretty much simultaneously shit out on me- and there was little to no contact when the products were sent off and about 5-6 months where my interface was just missing in transit. I'm counting the days until my Firestudio2626 shits out on me again so I can have a real reason to go Lynx/RME. Now my Eureka randomly pops and crackles and the output volume goes up and down randomly. I'm not sending this company anymore money to give me shitty products. I'm actually about to post a thread about it to figure it out myself- and now I'm stuck using their shitty stock pres and saving up for a boutique pre. That Eureka had less than 200 hours of use and sat safely in a smokeless and conditioned rack space.

My friend's FP10 is doing the same shit and he has sent it to them 4 fucking times in the past 6 months. Dump that shit and get a Profire or Saffire dude. Black Friday is hours away and those interfaces are like ~$300 and have ADAT
