It'll be at a dope-ass free concert with some of his music on it. It's all thanks to James Romig (a really good composer in his own right) who I started emailing with when I asked him a question about his dissertation. This one's for Toby and Chupe as they were interested in the Babbitt saga from a few months back.

The letter thing was a bust because it turns out that he doesn't even live in Princeton NJ proper but in a town outside it with "Princeton" in it's name. It probably didn't even get to him because I sent it to the wrong place.

Anyway, I found James Romig's doctoral dissertation online and read it and emailed him a few questions about it and since then we've been emailing a bit back and forth. He told me about the performance and I recently emailed him saying that I'd go and he invited me to some afterparty sort of thing (like PARTYING HARD WITH 80 YEAR OLDS!!!) and said he'd introduce me to Babbitt so I could ask him about shit. This thread should probably be entitled James Romig mega appreciation. His music is quite good as well. He has a different style altogether from Babbitt or Wuorinen who were both his teachers. Anyway, I'm psyched.
