...will take place after the All-Star jam on Saturday night to close out the fest. I will announce as many acts as I have confirmed. There is a very good chance that will include all ten of them. I am not sure when the date will be announced as I have to finalize hotels first.

/me can imagine the booooos from about 30% of the crowd if Pain of Salvation is announced.

I think its kind of brave to announce the bands in front of one's own audience as Glenn will get some absolutely immediate feedback. Friendly or not we'll see =D

Actually, considering how drunk and tired a good portion of the crowd will be, it will be much more fun if Glenn delays the posting of the bands on the website so that the forums will be full of arguments about what Glenn actually said at 2 in the morning.

Hopefully yeah. But I think the reactions are going to be interesting. How much is cheered/clapped/etc to lesser silence on some. I think some of the reactions will contrast a bit with the reactions on the forums too.

And yes I think its a great idea. Even if I end up being too tired and leave early to drive home, and miss it, its still a great idea.

Even if I am not a fan of the band (which I cannot recall a band in all of the fests Ive attended that I did not at least have a passing interest in), I will clap and show my support.

You know, I just had a thought.. not all 1100 people read the forums. Perhaps you should make some kind of official announcement during night 2 so people don't leave after the jam session.

Honestly, I will not take silence as a negative. I will take it as a "what the fuck was he thinking" or "who?" which is par for the course with my roster announcements in the past...

....and I don't see that changing over a few of them this year!
