Anyone else in on this? I went ahead and ponied up for the doc on Volition as well because I really love these guys and I'm quite interested in seeing how their experiment will work.

For those unfamiliar, they've offered a couple tiers of pricing to "subscribe" (not really a subscription, it's a one-time payment) to their new EP. It's one song a month essentially put out as they record it. If you take the higher tier you also get installments of the making of their last album. We're two songs in now, Ragged Tooth and Tidal, both of which are excellent.

Yeah, I hit this as well. Love PtH, especially live. The new songs are excellent. I'm ambivalent towards this "subscription" model (it's really just a pre-pay), and the pice-point is, IMO, high for an EPs worth of material.

I agree on the pricing. I think I agree about the "subscription" as well. It's novel, but I don't really care about novelty for its own sake.
