[Drummerrrrr?]

I picked one up earlier in the week and while the stock pups aren't actually too bad, the seventh string just doesn't work well. I don't know if it's the scale length but it has a terrible tone and seems unbalanced to the rest of the guitar. I'm reluctant to put a Bareknuckle set in it because apparently the pickup cavities need to be routed an extra few mm to fit them.

Has anyone owned one of these? And, if you swapped the pups out, was it worth it?

I'd also like to know more about these. I've been looking for these beauties, but haven't decided if I will buy one yet. I really like shorter scales but i'd also like to drop the tuning to atleast drop-A. So I'm not sure.

Although I did see a demo on youtube where a dude had tuned his to drop G and it seemed to handle that well.

installed a bkp nailbomb at the bridge and a vh2 at the neck on my suburst se 7.
had to re-route the cavities a little and needed new pickup-rings for the bkp-dimensions(coverd).

tonewise, its not bad but i'm still missing some clarity.
