Hey guys, I've gotten this weird message a few times in the past, and when it happens, the whole fucking session's audio is gone. I save a dated copy of the session's PTF file every day that I work on it, so I was able to go back to the previous day's session, and the audio was there. In the past I've had to figure out how to restore from a backup. Anyone else ever have this problem, and know how to stop it from happening?

I am sorry but i can't help you, i can only sympathize and say that for such a well known and "respected" software such behavior is beyond outrageous - like someone coming to your kitchen, tasting the soup you made and pouring it all to the sink because the taste was "invalid"...

Hahaha!

Thanks for the sympathy. I would love to know how to prevent this issue, if anyone else has an idea...

if this happens; you should clear the session out ASAP.

So consolidate, delete unused playlists
then REMOVE unused regions
And save session copy As.

That should stop it happening again.

Happened to me in windows when accidentally the hard drive couldn't keep up with the recording and the new audio stuff was saved on the os disk, at the time I had two computers so when I opened the session on the other computer PT couldn't find those files (saved on the OS' root of the other pc) and showing that goddamn message.
Now I use only a Mac for recording but happened to me a lot even with fucking fades, more than with that issue I mentioned, fortunately you can recreate fades ;).
