Punk Band mix (Misfits/Calabrese-ish)

I'm a huge Misfits fan danzig and graves era....
So This was a really fun band to mix......they were a little sloppy but it is punk so i didn't alter it to much....singer was pretty good though really strong voice....perfect voice for SM7b

They are doing an EP here so i'm just trying to find the overall sound, so i figured i would get some input...the band seems to like it..

Kick drum needs more lower mids. It has no substance in the mix; just a little pop.

Ride needs to come way down. I would choose a different SSD ride for this particular song.

The guitars needs way less high mids. They're clouding up the whole mix.

Start there, repost, and let's do it again

Performances are all there; you just need to get the mix there.

oh yes im digging it!!! definately a Calabrese feel to it im digging it a lot! i think the mix is excellent for the style of music, i love it!

i think the drums sound way to clean.... there´s definately no punk going to happen with that drumsound

Hey thanks greg for listening dude.....i took all ur suggestions and try to improve on them...

Changed the ride
Added some low mids to the kick

Killed some of the high mids in the guitar
why do i always fuck this up?!?!?

as for the drums i agree the are way cleaner for punk......And i wanted it that way, i mean all i have is SSD so i have to use them regardless but i wanted a more polish sound .

This is definitely better now. The guitars are a bit staticy. They need some chunk and clang.

Bring down ride velocities now. That's the only thing that's catching my ear.
