Purposed global private arms ban

so i heard that the UN is purposing a global arms ban...

have you heard anything about this? now, i'm not some big gun guy... but the idea of all the worlds governments having guns and not any of the private citizens is a little unnerving to me.

it's not about private citizens vs. government, it's about the private citizens who comply versus private citizens who don't comply.

like, the kindly people of Switzerland will put their guns down and look expectantly at the Pakistanis who will be like "ahahah SUCKERZ" and start shooting.

this is like those people who think that if Serbia enters the EU everyone will have to stop making their own brandy and killing and roasting their own pigs because of European food and drink regulations.

well getting into the EU is even less likely actually, so I guess there really is no problem.
