It wasn't enough that QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE's latest album, "...Like Clockwork", was nominated for "Best Rock Album" and "Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical" and "My God Is The Sun" for "Best Rock Performance," the Grammys have now enlisted the band for a once-in-a-lifetime grand finale performance: This Sunday, January 26, the closing performance of the 56th Aanual Grammy Awards live telecast will feature the debut Grammy appearances of QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE and fellow nominees NINE INCH NAILS, alongside nominee/Grammy vet Dave Grohl, and special guest Lindsey Buckingham. Following that sure-to-be-historic all-star jam, it's (surprise surprise) back to the road for the QUEENS. Tickets are on sale now (where they're not sold out, that is) for the band's upcoming January 30 - February 13 U.S. run, after which they'll rejoin their Grammy cohorts NINE INCH NAILS for a massive March 6-22 Australia/New Zealand co-headline tour before returning the U.S. for Coachella and, as always, more more more. "...Like Clockwork" sold 91,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 1 on The Billboard 200 chart. Issued on June 4, 2013 via Matador Records, the disc follows up "Era Vulgaris", which opened with 52,000 units back in June 2007 to enter the chart at No. 14. The band's 2005 offering "Lullabies to Paralyze" registered a first-week tally of nearly 97,000 copies, to debut at No. 5. Photo credit: Nora Lezano
