I was watching Queensryche's Live Evolution video and noticed many similarities between both bands, (but its not a bad thing.) Both are From Seattle, Both have "high pitched" (at times) well developed singers and very talented musicians (guitars, bass, drums.) Both have female singers on their "concept albums". Both have 5 members (usually) Both's third official albums were "concept albums" . Both put out E.P.'s (4-5) songs. And finally, Queensryche and NEVERMORE are great bands. There may be more and if so remind me.

I hope NVM dont end up like the last queesnryche albums. Actually i know they wont. The throne of Queesnryche now belongs to Nevermore. The legacy is heavy load upon a bands shoulder! Nevermore stand strong to carry the legacy on!

I would guess that most fans of Nevermore, old enough to have grown up during the mid-80s, were not just fans of Queensryche, but were probably die-hard fans.

The similarities don't end with those that you have mentioned. I have always heard a heavy Queensryche influence in Nevermore's music, especially in Warrel's singing. I would be very surprised to learn that Tate isn't one of Warrel's biggest influences.

When people have asked me to describe Nevermore's sound, I have always told them to imagine "...And Justice For All" era Metallica with "Rage For Order" era Queensryche, but with better musicianship.

Quuensryche were way ahead of their time. It is not just the riffs, the song writting etc. It is the attitude. I perceive Nevermore as a completely progressive group, because the dudes have created something that simply didn't exist. And this is progress, mind you! Few bands in our time do this. Most of the 90's bands are just clones of the older ones.
