I have a question about Fredrik Andersson... is Amon Amarth's Fredrik Andersson the same Fredrik who played drums with Marduk?

I've read in the web about him and I think that some sites are mistaking and Amon Amarth's drummer is another Fredrik Andersson.

According to these sites, Fredrik is/was drummer of Amon Amarth, Curriculum Mortiis, Marduk, Guidance of Sin and A Canorous Quintet:

http://musica.mustdie.ru/en/band/amon_amarth/
http://musica.mustdie.ru/en/band/marduk/
http://musica.mustdie.ru/en/band/a_canorous_quintet/
http://musica.mustdie.ru/en/band/guidance_of_sin/
http://musica.mustdie.ru/en/band/curriculum_mortis/
http://www.zenial.nl/html/marduk.htm

But according to these sites, fredrik Andersson was member of A Canorous Quintet and Allegiance, and actually member of Amon Amarth and Curriculum Mortis, but not member of Marduk!:

And this site says that Fredrik has played with Allegiance, Marduk, Cardinal Sin and Triumphator:

In addition of that, I've compared some pictures of Marduk's Fredrik and Amon Amarth's Fredrik, and tattoos doesn't match... look:

Does anybody know something regarding this issue??? I'm confused...

HAHAHA, indeed the tatooes dont match AT ALL!!! lol i see you've done ur little investigation :p does fredrik andersson of AA hide his identity with fake tatoes and a painted face in marduk??? that is the question :loco: (or did fredrik tatoo himself after the Aa picture?)
anyway it is weird, all these sites saying he's in marduk, i personnally dont think so (at least i never heard about it), and AA's official website doesnt talk about this. but its funny for you to mention it. if all the others of the forum say he indeed is in marduk it will be a great shock for me :p

PS: wow since AA is touring in mexico there are so many new mexican guys these days

Thank you very much Tomasz and PaganBlood, I appreciate your help.

Indeed, Fredrik is a very common name as well as Andersson is a common last name in the norse countries, unfortunately some missinformated metal sites as the ones I linked have spread incorrect information about these two great musicians.

Even the internet has reached the far regions of Tijuana. Reminds me of an old pal, Pepito who owns a burrito joint across the border.
I hope Johan will keep the promise he made while he was in FL. He said he would do all Mexico shows with a big sombrero on his head.

I got a huge sombrero when I visited Mexico in 1990. the only problem is that when you're wearing such a huge hat, you can't walk through the door...I couldn't even walk through my own bedroom door...So the hat has since ever been used as decoration!
I'm just trying to image Johan wearing it...it's too funny!

I was reeeeeally confused about the two Fredriks myself!!!! I noticed that the tattoos don't match but for a while I thought that maybe the guy i was seeing in Marduk was another drummer and not AA's Fredrik...anyway I know now that they just have the same name!!!!

Even without the tattoos, you can tell it is not the same person. Corpse paint cannot change your face.

On a completely OT, Always wondered how they put make up on when they have beards? Any of you guys here a closet black metaller  Or even put it on for a laugh... and managed?

Ah, generic Scandinavian names...
Same thing has created confusion because there was a Fredrick Johansson who did the solo on the In Flames song December Flower, and the guitarist of Dark Tranquility till 98 was named Fredrick Johansson, and anyone who's familiar with the history of the Gothenburg scene will know that the relationship between those two bands could best be described as incestuous. However, it was a different Fredrick Johansson who did the solo. Wikipedia says it was the guy from DT but that's wrong.

Just avoid the beard, or put it on the beard. Not that tough.

Well, you know you've made it when there are sightings of you in two places at once.:lol: ubiquitous scandinavians, batman!
