Question about Hypocrisy's "Virus"

i think thats just the way the production is on the album. in the intro to Fearless it sounds a bit fuzzy to me. but in all the other songs it doesn't really get fuzzy unless it gets really really chaotic. could be the rip, i don't have the cd yet so i can't really make a perfect judgement.

Nahh it's pretty good production. Best of any Hypocrisy CD so far. A little fizz in the guitars but it shouldn't be ruining the recording or anything. I bet you have a shitty quality version. Great CD! You should just buy it.

Virus is Peter's tour de force in terms of production value. Now get your ass off that chair and go buy the cd. Now!

There was a messed up version of the CD that had scratchiness on some of the songs. I don't know if that may have effected the download.

Personally I think the production is great and it is a great album. My first death metal album ever too, so it has a special place in my heart.

The CD I have is superp quality production. Hypocrisy in general has a little more distortion to their guitars, but this is one of their cleanest sounding imo.

Alright, I must have gotten a bad download then cause its noticeably poor. The album is fucking kick ass though. I would buy it, but its hard for me to go out and buy cds these days after getting all mine stolen from my car... and being a poor college student. I haven't bought one in a while. All I can see buying next is the new ISIS and Neurosis. If I ever start making good money and feel like starting my collection again this one will be high on the list to buy :)

Hypocrisys production jobs are so thin which was one of the factors of me not getting into them(along with profanities in lyrics), swearing is fine just not in lyrics. I can stomach thin production if the music is amazing.

Peter cranks the mids in the guitars so high and my ears say no about 20 seconds into a song. If his bands production jobs were like the production he did with grave 'fiendish regression' i just might hear something else instead of hearing the production as distracting. Whatever floats your boat I guess.

I have never heard profanities except for one song. The lyrics aren't even published, how can you tell moat of the time?
