Question

As much as I know, Vintersorg was an one-man-band on "Hedniskhjärtad", "Till Fjälls" and "Ödemarkens Son", but he got help with the loop editing. And on the albums "Cosmic Genesis", "Visions From The Spiral Generator" and "The Focusing Blur", he introduced Mattias Marklund to the band. So it's not an one-man-band anymore =)

But in the sense of music writting, I wouldn't add Asgeir and Steve to the list of members of the band. Vintersorg are: Vintersorg-Generator, Mattias Marklund-Supervisor

And don't forget Cia Hedmark's vocals.

How could I? Her vocals alone on Svaltvinter are enough to make that a Vintersorg classic in my opinion. 2:30 - 2:52 of that song sends chills down my back. But I think she is only on 3 other Vintersorg songs besides that one, all of them being some of the better songs. I love her vocals and wish Mr. V would have her on his new albums.

I agree. Her vocals are awesome ! I love it, and yes, would be great if she backs to sing in the new album ! :Spin:

Yea, u can hope so. But more than anything else, I hope that they will go back, and play the music that Vintersorg played on "Hedniskhjärtad", "Till Fjälls" and "Ödemarkens Son".

I don't think so. It's an ever progressing project, and I don't think they have any desire to return to what once was. It's better this way, in my opinion.

while i do love his newer works, im love the early eras . . .. probably cause the language sounds much more beautiful than english . . . .

well, mr V said half of the lyrics or so on the new album will be in Swedish :Spin:

@Marksveld: agreed :)

i much prefer the musical style on the newer albums, but i agree that singing in swedish really adds more to the music...even though i cant understand it ha. I think if he splits it evenly everyone should be happy. My only gripe is that i hope the drums aren't quit as loud on the new album, they were a little overpowering at times...especialy with asgeir, that guys a fucking maniac with all the fills that he does. And whoever said something about that progression stuff is right. We should all know by now that Mr. V is all about evolving and expanding...his music will never stay the same, damn it would be great if Vintersorg gained alot of popularity, alot more people need to hear this stuff.
