I have been thinking about this problem for quite some time. Let's say I have to play a backing track (e.g synth, electronic stuff, guitar layers), how would you guys go about doing it while syncing the tempo with the drummer without having hiccups during live. So far I've known drummers who used trigger pads and play back stuff like sub-drops and sound samples. Also some bands are using laptops to playback their backing tracks and even switching presets in their effects. But I'm looking for other solutions prior to the accessibility and efficiency during live.
