quick update

funny.. i'm on one of my Macs now and the link worked fine... our home PC sadly never was able to open that simple web page...

please.. don't wanna hear from every PC user on here that you were able to open it.. i'm not insinuating that PCs in general couldn't open that one particular little link... ours just couldn't, for whatever reason... luckily my macs never have such issues at all. maybe we just have a crappy PC... except that it's not, really.

You know I never COULD get Fallout 2 to run on a Mac... must mean those darned things are vastly inferior! :p

'grats on the grammy, Andy. Could you clarify though, because I never understood, what actually was your role on Deliverance? Mike only seemed to talk about Steve Wilson and Fredrik Nordstrom when it came to production/engineering duties.

Andy's role undoubtedly involved, and even highly relied upon, the use of a Mac computer Moony, and one thing you can rest assured of... it did not involve in any way the playing of "Fallout 2" or any other game... which were all likely developed in whole or in part on a Mac anyway, just like a great deal of MICROSOFT's Halo 2 was :tickled: :tickled: :tickled: !!! what? don't believe it? :err: watch the bonus DVD that comes in the deluxe version for Xbox \m/ :Smokedev: \m/

sorry Andy, these boys shouldn't have started up the old Mac vs. PC lameness again here on your thread... maybe i should just have ignored Hewy's silly mistake but i, um... "couldn't resist".

add my cheers and congrats for that Grammy to the chorus; just dues for a job beyond well done :headbang:

Haha, dude my post was tongue-in-cheek. I was trying to illustrate the sort of innuendo you were passing off in your post.

It was pretty much akin to saying 'now no need for you PC users to get riled up. My Mac never had issues with opening ONE SIMPLE LITTLE WEBPAGE, luckily I have a Mac because even my high-end PC is so inferior it can't even surf the web properly'

It may not have been intentional but that's certainly how it came off. Anyway, I doubt the PC architecture is to blame... usually web problems are caused by software faults, problems on the ISPs end or server issues with the site host. Could be the browser you're using on the PC or somesuch.

Anyhow, thanks for the answer Andy. I never even realized you did the mix. That definately explains the kick sound though, hehe.

yep, i knew you were joking around.. so was i.. i even tried to make it obvious, guess it didn't work since you felt you had to "explain", but you didn't have to :)

yeah, i'm aware of all the things you said about the PC and why i'm potentially having the problem... i already made my disclaimer about that earlier in the thread. :dopey:

so... no more on this sillyness, ok?... lets keep this thread on-subject :headbang:

Oh yeah I should have mentioned something about the actual thread before making a smart (or dumb whatever works) arse comment....

Congrats on the grammy Andy, good to see your great work is being recognised... really looking forward to the new Nevermore also :headbang:

New forum rule: mention mac vs pc and you get owned with a behringer eurodesk

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHAHAHHAAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAA.......HA! Dude, I laughed until I started crying at that. Good stuff.

Andy, you really mixed Deliverance? Opeth is probably my favorite band ever. I prefer Damnation over Deliverance though...mostly just biased at this point in time since I'm really into chilled out acoustic stuff right now, but great job on Deliverance anyway.

Also....could you tell me how in the HELL you got the guitars to sound like that on Deliverance? PLEASE!!! Lol.
