I know that many here didn't care for Eddings' later works, but I always found his books to be humorous and entertaining...even if he *did* write the same book multiple times.

Oh, wow. I'd heard about the infamous garage fire ("Dumb.") but this is really saddening. R.I.P.

This is the first I'd heard of this. Thanks for posting it here. I look for his books all the time in every bookstore I go to. He's my scifi/fantasy writing hero and will be greatly missed! RIP, DE!
