Y & T Bassist Phil Kennemore passed away this morning, January 7, 2011 at 1am at Stanford Hospital. Bravely and steadfastly battling the horrible spectacle of lung cancer.

OMG! so sad. R.I.P. Phil, condolences to his family, friends and bandmates past and present in Y&T.
Y&T IMHO is single handledly the single most underated rock band EVER!

What a damn shame. Really great guy, always took time for the fans, loved to tell stories and hold court at the signing tables. He's one of the reasons why Y&T signing sessions would go on all night long. As Dave Meniketti said in his statement: "he was one of the class guys on this planet".

This news pretty much ruined my week. But it's been a rather shitty week for me anyway.
Having a beer with Phil in July 2006 at the Y&T show at the Beachland Ballroom in Cleveland is something I'll always remember. I'm glad I made the effort to travel there and meet Phil and see Y&T.
RIP.

This is such sad news. So glad I had the opportunity to meet him and see him perform at the Rock the Bayou fest in Houston a few years back. Great guy and charasmatic player. R.I.P.
