Is this album worth a buy? Does it have re-play value? Some I know are claiming it could be the best thing they've done. Curious as to what people on this forum think.

Check my blog about it. The link is in my sig.

Its a really good album though. Buy it when it comes out on cd. They stoped the downloads on their site.

Also look at my avatar!

For me, nothing will top OK Computer but it's a pretty good album. The only problem I have with most Radiohead albums is that there are dull moments. I still love this band but the only albums I can listen to in full and not get bored are The Bends and OK Computer.

"The Bends" is one album I have from them. Excellent guitar work throughout. Yorke's voice took some getting used to, you know, kinda high-pitched and whiny, but after repeated listens his voice just seems to fit. I like your blog Alter, could just be more informative on your reviews. Maybe, that's why there called "short reviews."

Yea, I will go more in-depth later. Expect a huge Interpol review of all three cds and a review of the new Spoon record. Plus an end of the year report.

Hmmmm, well you guys did have me interested in checking this album. I was going to go DL it on their site when I head one of you (probably Alter) say it was up for DL, but I guess I missed it. I kinda feel like I should get OK Computer first though.

Hail to the Thief is a good album if you've not checked that one out yet. It's different from the direction they took with Kid A and Amnesiac and should appeal more to people who didn't care for those albums but did like OK Computer.

I've not heard the new one yet. The retarded marketing stunt they pulled with the whole download thing kind of put me off. I'm sure I'll check it out at some point but at the moment I just can't say I care all that much.

Been listening to "O.K. Computer for a couple of weeks now, and can hear why everyone regards this as their best album. I heard it when it first came out, but never really listened. Jonny Greenwood is a fantastic guitarist and the drummer Phil Selway is excellent. Good songwriting and some beautiful melencholic songs. Yorke's vocals are still a little abrasive to me, but his voice just fits the music. Each subsequent listen reveals more nuances throughout the disc.

Radiohead got bland after a while. I remember when I listened to them constantly and then I went on and listened to something else for a while and then I put them back in one day and thought it was complete shit. Maybe I should give them a shot again.

Well the major flaw in the album is that it does have a sense of subtle power but lacks in the addicting quality that bands are doing now within dark rock, like Interpol and Deerhunter. This album is an obvious Post-Punk sound but has its major flaws.

Yeah you should. Maybe try a different album if you haven't. The Bends is a great one to immerse yourself in.

I don't understand what you mean here at all. Ok Computer is one of the most highly acclaimed albums to come out of the last 15 years. I very much doubt you'll see Interpol making the same sort of impact.

I was speaking of In Rainbows, but I understand what you are saying. But lets not forget that speaking of musical execution that Ok, Computer is untouchable inters of modern rock. No doubt can anyone fuck with that album. But Radiohead is not making that album again and if you notice that Radiohead has moved into a subtle almost "post-punk" sound that sounds akin to what bands like Interpol and Deerhunter are doing. No one can say that In Rainbows is better at what it does, say than, Interpol's Turn On The Bright Light. What Interpol is doing now is what Radiohead was doing in a, much smaller, scale. Also, please make note what Turn On The Bright Lights did when it was released. It became an instant classic among indie circles.

I don't know, man. These comments are starting to get me concerned a little. I was thinking about buying the 2 disc version of this new one. Now, I might need to rethink all this, for I do respect all of your input.

Hey Alter, I don't mean to come off as an asshole if I do lol...but I believe it's The Dear Hunter.

There is two bands...
