the new remaster of Rainbow "Down to Earth" deluxe edition is released in the U.S.A. on March 22,2011.I have to buy a copy because there is bonus tracks and one of which i have never heard of.

why? you may ask

1. i am a huge Graham Bonnet fan and have most of the material from his entire 45 + year career

2.it probably will sound "awesome" in dolby 5.1 surround sound

AND on the Negative side

why do bands put out countless best of,compilations ,re-issues JUST to get a couple tracks

please refer to molly hatchet post in Metal News for more of my bitching!:OMG:

Wow... hadn't realized he'd been in the biz for 45 years. I assume that only the past 30 with Rainbow, Alcatrazz, etc are familiar to most.

Yes, I agree. I've commented before on how I'm generally boycotting "deluxe edition" re-releases and such, since they're usually just money grabs without much of interest to offer.

Dunno...because my original Polygram CDs were damaged I eventually bought again my Rainbow collection with the remasters Polydor made a couple of years ago. In the case of DTE not even the bboklet was an improvement and no bonus tracks, so I don't see a point to buy it a third time even if is one of my all-time favorite albums of the band.
Just wait until somebody put it on the net and download the bonus tracks alone.
