KLINGON
Rain/monsoon season is upon us here in the exotic Orient. Umbrellas are items of irrelevance as the rain goes sideways, upside down, and splashes up from the ground hitting you in the face - think "Forrest Gump" Vietnam rain.

I've got a nice little collection of sad/dreary metal and depressive shoegazey stuff and of course Sopor Aeternus, but I'm looking to expand. What would you listen to during a month of nonstop rain?

This last one is a short instrumental, but I find it to be painfully depressive

Hope you find something you like here.

I wish I had that much rain.

This is most definitely the time for music with a nice organic bass-y sound. Joy Division, Christian Death being prime examples of what I prefer to listen to on rainy days.

I just really think bass is powerful instrument that has a very naturally dark, moody quality to it, in the same way that rain does. I have an obsession with rain and I love the smell of rain, and I think bass-oriented music really helps the music "breathe". Great music if you're in a relaxed, reflective sort of mood.
