Their guitar sound live is ffn gorgeous though, imagine using all those rectos to amply different aspects (one for lows, mids, highs) etc
Is that what they actually do? Crossover the guitar signal and then run different bands through the heads?

I'm betting they are using two of those amps only for their sound, the two other ones are for backing up in case of rig 1 behaving weird. Then the last one is for their monitoring.

in addition to the original post (ive hed these pics on me comp for years) heres the other part of Rammsteins setup
I'm pretty sure they just eq each head differently, rather than band-passing the guitar signal - and Brett, the thought of using a head just to monitor never occurred to me (mostly because of the ridiculous amount of money involved in such a procedure
), but it makes sense when you're using two amps that might not sound good on their own because of the complimentary dialing-in. I assume the monitor amp would be dialed in normally?Brett is right.
