Rammstein

I don't think they're good

and I don't think any non-german likes them for anything other than the fact that they're german

I like them because I'm a fan of Industrial Metal, and Rammstein is very provocative, I didn't like them until I read the translated lyrics.

Loved Rammstein since I first heard them a good 6ish years ago.
When you translate their lyrics it really is some weird stuff man, yr like 'woah' haha.
I get to see them in February after waiting 7 years by then, I officially cannot wait.

"This video has been removed due to blah blah blah."

Anyway, yeah Rammstein are a good band. They have some very good industrial riffs. I spoke to someone from Germany about them (I think it was I-TEND-TO-DIE, Johannes from here). He said they were considered pretty much a pop group in Germany.

No, that's Die Prinzen and Tokio Hotel. I remember when I first watched a Tokio Hotel video, I looked at the lead singer and said "That chick's pretty hot."

Then I found out her name was Bill...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAA.... in your face.... :puke::puke:

Rammstein are pretty cool, and I dont know if you really get what they are singin about... there are some songs totally and fuckin wrong.
its awesome :)
and a lot is german background.

The name "rammstein" is the name of a german military base where a big accident happend, in the 80s I guess. two planes crashed into each other and then into the audience. thats why the named themselves like that

the song "Mein Teil" from "reise, reise" is about a german cannibal, that killed, fried and ate another guy. The thing his, he ASKED to be eaten. :zombie:

one song from the upcomin album, (yes I do know the record already) is about the austrian guy that locked his daughter in the basement for 24 years and had a bunch of kids with her.

Most songs are basically just about brutal rape, murder, suicide, stuff like that. Dont know the translastions, hope theyre good. Cuz most Germans wouldnt get what he sings, he uses pretty big words sometimes and its all very poetric discribed

Aaaaaaaaand its the last part of that post that makes me hate this band. :)

Lyrics are EVERYTHING. Thats why I hate ALOT of Death/Black Metal. You have shit lyrics, then you're not very good in my opinion.

I'm sorry Keenan but that's a very hypocritical statement from you. Its not just death/black metal bands that sing about those subjects. Every metal band sings about one or more of those subjects at some point. And its not like Tille is singing in a death puke style. He's actually a very good singer. And just because you don't (but you maybe do) understand German is no excuse either. Rammstein usually put their translations in their liner notes. If not then they are easily found online.

I'm no Rammstein fan, but they're a decent band. I was however, SHOCKED when I found out how much they're charging to see them on their upcoming tour.

£40? It's nae actually that bad, most gig tickets are going up in price and the Rammstein show is completely worth it. Whereas other bands and singers (most recently Marilyn Manson has tickets for £30 I think) and he offers no stage show or anything. So yeah, well worth the money in my opinion, I'm travelling down to the Manchester gig so I am happy with it. I paid £40 for my Maiden ticket (with b/f) in '06 and I regretted going because the show was terrible, it really upset me actually haha, big disappointment.

I saw Iron Maiden on that same tour in 2006 and my ticket cost less than £40, and the show was incredible. The best I have ever seen.

I did know all of that

Du Hast doesn't mean You Hate it means you have lalalalalalala.

Seriously? They played their very shit album at that tour, which caused that gig to be one of the most boring ones I have ever seen and missed out loads of hits, it was so shit man. It was £33 for the ticket I think then all yr shit booking fee's.

I meant "I don't like alot of Death/Black metal because I don't like the lyrics."

Yeah, seriously! :p

Though to be honest there is one very simple reason why we're disagreeing here... I think A Matter of Life and Death is great, and seeing it live was awesome.
