Rate my mix - Decode the Design track

[The Grand Design]

Hey guys, I'm the guitarist and songwriter for my band Decode the Design. We're a melodic electro influenced metal band in the vein of Sybreed, In Flames, Raunchy and Breach the Void.

So far all our recordings have been done at home, using Superior 2.0, Nexus and a Line 6 Toneport UX1 (only got my 5150 2 days ago). The guitar used is a Schecter Hellraiser C-7 with EMG 707s.

This is a full "demo" recording of our track "Future to Fragments", minus vocals as we do not have a vocalist yet. I don't have a pair of studio monitors or headphones so have had to make do with what I've got haha. Would be great to get some opinions on the mix, or tips on how to improve it. Dropbox link below.

Anyone? Have started playing around with podfarm + recabinet and awesometime impulses. Guitars are sounding better but now feel a little bit too "distant" in the mix even when they are loud.

Just a quick clip of the impulsed guitars. This is a podfarm dual tone with the cabinet settings still on, then it's had some recabinet impulses applied. Thoughts?
