RATE MY MIX (Instrumental melodic indie rock jam)

[Pursuance]

I did this instrumental for a client a few months ago. They ended up wanting me to program drums, so i used SD2 which was somewhat difficult to fit into the context of this jam.

Guitars: Fender Telecaster
Countryman DI
MesaBoogie 1x12 combo for rhythm
SM57
Pod HD Pro for cleans and lead tone

Bass: Fender Jazz (client didnt change strings so tone was meh)
Grace m101
Sansamp RBI
Ampeg 8x10 IRs

Really good mix, lead tone sounds great, there's some static noise from the guitars in some parts that I think you should fix. The drums don't really fit, maybe put some tape saturation over it or push up the room mics/bleed to give it a more natural tone...

I feel that too! The drums are too dry in some parts, they just dont seem glued to the mix.

I left a little bit of the guitar hum to add to the organicness of the mix.
