Here's a link to samples of the re-recorded KISS songs. There's no huge reason to get this, but I have to say they made of point of retaining the original sounds. I'm sure this is on purpose, obviously. Personally, I think they did this because some of these songs will be used in advertisements, especially in Japan, and they don't want to give the record company any money from that. This way they keep it all. Just a theory.
Anyway, it's almost surprising how well they "cover" themselves, haha. But I'm willing to be Tommy Thayer played all the guitar parts, and Paul none of them. Hard to say. I was actually kind of impressed with the samples. I've heard all these songs so many times though, and long since listened to KISS too many times to really ever revisit them, except for every couple of years I'll maybe spin one of the records. The recent DVDs (early ones) were great though.
