I'll bore you with a slice of my life history -
Despite only knowing them from that Wheatus song "Teenage Dirtbag", I dubiously went with my friend to an Iron Maiden concert last December, since her brother had pulled out and she needed someone to go. I was blown away and haven't looked back since. It was my first concert, even though I'm nearly 18, because I just hadn't cared about music enough before to pay to see a live act. I've been to a couple more since with plenty more booked for the rest of the year. I got to see Iron Maiden again last Sunday and it was amazing - even better this time since I could actually sing along. Ironically I bought with me a friend who'd never heard Maiden or any metal except a few Linkin Park songs and she loved it too. Perhaps every Maiden fan is fated to pass it on?
Anyway I'm in love with the whole genre and always looking for more bands to listen to.
