Favela of My Dismay
Progressive Stoner with folk elements thrown in for shits n giggles. This album has fallen off the radar here in the meager halls of the royal, but with a little luck we shall all be circle jerking with glee. Nadrick, Kenneth, Thar Hilltop, Agalloch (the member, not the band), et al., will surely enjoy the burnt offerings beneath. :kickass:

wow, man

this shit rules

i don't know that it sounds very "stoner" at all though, except it has that kind of murky, downtuned guitar sound

It's an amassment of sounds coalescing to thrum my soul. Aye, it's hard to pigeon hold this sound. There's a fair amount going on, and it all flows to the ear, as fine whisky flows to the throat.

lmao, the runes in their logo say THE FLIGHT OF SLIEPNIR

good work lads

Okay. I am here.

I are enjoying.

Listen more later!

EDIT: First song was fuckin' :kickass: indeed.

Carcass is over. Now onto Flight of Sleipnir.

Did anyone here ever follow this band passed this thread? Their latest Skadi is particularly eargasmic.

Pretty sure the rune mishap explains their stoner element.

I have no recollection of this band because I'm an alcoholic.

When Northern Silence listed the Noltem EP on their website (and mentioned it one single time on Facebook), they suspiciously compared us to this band and no others. The exact line is "Reminiscent of The Flight of Sleipnir without the Doom and Prog influences." So without those influences then what's left?

I have never heard a single second of music from these guys, so I've always thought that was weird.
