Recommendation: Ne Obliviscaris

Been listening to these guys' debut album, 'Portal of I', for a few weeks now - and so far, it's a strong contender for album of the year for me.

Ne Obliviscaris are an Australian sextet who compose 10 minute plus-epics of progressive, epic black metal, tinged with touches of death metal, thrash metal, and even a dash of jazz and flamenco here and there. Oh, and they have a violinist in the line-up too. Here's 'And Plague Flowers The Kaleidoscope';

sorry i did this already

but it is a very good album, unfortunately none of the other songs are quite on par with "and plague flowers" but it is a well-written, classy, inventive album that i fully recommend

if i gotta complain, the clean vocals get a little... fruity. but its ok
