RECOMMENDATION: Vattnet Viskar - Self-titled

Decent enough Cascadian BM derivation exhibited here, but the Swedish name and the band promo pic leads me to question their purity. The bookends look like uber douches, the types of guys who would sleep with a chick, get their salad tossed by them, and not even have the common decency to reply to a text for seven consecutive days. The second chap looks like a straight out kike, guaranfuckingtee his parents have a mohel in their roledex, and I'm sure he's attended more than on bar mitzvah in his day. All right music, but much like my cocaine, I want my black metal pure.

Thus, I proclaim this band FALSE.

It's not bad but I wish that drummer would let up once in a while. It also feels a little derivative and formulaic.

new hampshire is infinitely grim... i was in ossipee for a while last month and that is just one beautiful state (for the most part).

i actually knew about this band before the recommendation- have heard worse stuff but these guys kinda suck... the music has no hint of originality and is impossible to connect with emotionally. for the love of god, get rid of the swedish/norwegian band names unless your band is from sweden/norway.

I still like it. The beginning reminds me of the atmosphere that Blackie has put into many Root and Cales songs. But, nobody likes them either so, oh well.
