They're alright, I personally like heaver stuff, they are really cool guys though but I hate that the singer makes me put obtune on his tracks to make it sound like a "vocoder" or like "T-Pain"

I used DFH with drumagog on the kick and snare, I didn't have a sub to mix with so it ended up way too boomy on the kick, I also never have done sub drops before and used two in the breakdown.

the guitars are a ts9>dsl100>4x12 Straight custom with the 5150 speakers
on one side and a 5150>same cab for the other side.

I'm only 18 and never taken any classes about mixing, everything I've learned is either from this forum or a friend of mine. (or figuring it out myself)

the song is called Beautiful Fate

Any suggestions for my next recordings would be awesome, They've already paid me for this song and they like it so I don't really feel like fixing it besides the kick boominess.

I did the other two demos, but they were setup in a rush and I didn't have the 5150 or the dsl, just some shity solid state and no drumagog.

They are coming in next week to re-record those other two songs.

I thought the mix was pretty good. I'd have more bass and OH tracks in the mix though. Snare sounds too triggered, maybe don't replace it 100%. And sometimes when you record bands, you have to convince them not to do shit that sounds terrible - like the effect on those vocals (after I heard them I had to turn it off).

Yes, the auto tune can burn in hell. This kid won't take no for an answer though, he even brings a rack unit to shows and tells the sound man to run it through his mic. It's retarded. Thanks for the suggestions about the snare and overheads. The stupid thing is he sings perfectly in key too...

It doesn't bother me as long as they pay me for it! :D

I'm recording a more BTBAM style band later this week, once I finish the mixes I'll post them here for more of your awesome suggestions.

Well I tested the song in my car with 2x10"s and 2x12"s for the sub drops and the kick was almost as loud as the sub drops, so there are some low freq. on that kick sample. The sub drop sounded amazing though. All other professional mixes and albums sound fine in my car so its not my setup.
