Los Angeles's own RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS will help kick off the Rams' inaugural season back home in Southern California with a performance prior to the historic home opener at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Sunday, September 18. The pregame performance leads into the Rams hosting the Seattle Seahawks during the first NFL game in Los Angeles in 22 years (FOX 11/KTTV, 1:05 p.m. PT). "Since I was a little boy, I've taken joy in the beauty of the Rams," said RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS bassist Flea. "When I moved to Los Angeles in 1972, I was getting uprooted from my home and I thought, 'Well, where I'm going they've got the Rams. It's going to be all right.'" Gates to the Coliseum open at 11:00 a.m. PT and fans should be in their seats thirty minutes prior to kickoff to see the RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS performance. Important information for those attending the game about security, parking and transportation can be found at www.therams.com/gameday. Fans should be prepared for enhanced security elements at the Coliseum. Metal detectors have been installed at all gates and guests will be required to walk through them before entering the stadium. In addition, the Clear Bag Policy will be in effect for all games at the Coliseum this year. The Rams strongly encourage fans to not bring any type of bags, but www.NFL.com/allclear outlines what bags are permissible and what items are prohibited. RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS' eleventh studio album, "The Getaway", landed No. 2 on The Billboard Top 200, having shifted 118,000 equivalent album units in the week ending June 23. "The Getaway" debuted at No. 1 in Australia, Belgium, Ireland, Netherlands and New Zealand, with No. 2 debuts in the United Kingdom and Germany.
