Regarding Boise Cancellation

This is what a guy named Eric from HC Entertainment Group at the Core had to say and his words pissed me off!!!

*They are being fags and want to be paid for not playing. There will be a ticketweb refund. I won't book them again. The Venue won't and they are to small for the Big Easy unless they get on a bigger tour so I don't think they will play this town.

Yeah, pretty much bullshit right there. The Big Easy concert house is in kind of like a New Orleans-esque part of Boise right in downtown. Their bar is called Bourbon Street for chrissake. The place holds about 1100 people or so. The guy, no....the company HC Entertainment Group are full of shit.

Where you get the idea that they are "fags" is beyond me. You are trying to make up excuses for why they aren't playing your venue. The truth is, when they start up a headlining tour and your venue is skipped, you'll be very sorry for tarnishing your name. I wouldn't be surprised if they talk to other bands to make sure they don't use you for shows. Well... He just seems very unprofessionnal. No matter what are the band's request after a cancellation, doesn't he know that it's the booker's responsibility to refound tickets???

What the band requests is personnal details that is none of the public's business. Revealing such demands, wether they are true or false is a direct assault against the band's confidentiality.

I feel sorry for the guys but hopefully, it won't hurt their reputation!

As for Nevermore being small or being big... I still think of their performance at Gigantour in montreal and they got a pretty loud response from such a "small" following...

This club promoter has a very bad rep just ask Exodus...I suspect that their agent wanted a deposit for the performance fee, which is standard practice. The band absolutely did not ask to be paid for not playing, the fact is this guy has ripped off a number of bands including Exodus so it looks to me like their booking agency wanted to make sure Nevermore would not get the same treatment.
