It was 16 years ago this past Sunday (12/1/86) I saw Slayer on the "Reign in Blood" tour with Overkill opening. It was a Monday night - $10.00. I was a junior in high school
Anyone else here see that tour?? Lets hear your stories.
I still have Kerry's pick from that night. That show was the absolute balls! I wish theyd go back to playing Angel of Death 2nd in the set so I wouldnt have to hear people scream it all night long LOL
I didnt even know who Overkill WAS that night. Needless to say I went out the very next day and bought "Feel The Fire"
No one here really seemed to know who they were. When Overkill went on no one even stood in front of the stage LOL
Providence/Boston (and probably most of the country) were always behind New York / New Jersey LA /the bay area LOL
We had less than 100 people at that Slayer show and then I watch the videos from San Francisco and New York and I see what seems to be hundreds of people!
In a way we were really lucky, because everything took an extra tour to get popular here.
