I picked up Tommy's whole catalog and have been listening to it. I'm not usually a big fan of melodic European speed/power metal. But I'm wild about Axel Rudi Pell since his melodies are always fantastic. Tommy is now classified the same way. It's all great. Charlie Shred, ReinXeed, Golden Resurrection, PelleK, and Swedish Hitz Goes Metal. And Damnation Angels though I haven't sprung the cash for that one yet. I'm normally a real prick about bad lyrics, but I love Tommy's. I even sing along to it. And it's really bad. "When dinos come to life", "not enough seats on the lifeboats", etc. Not exactly allegorical or metaphorical or poetic or any of that crap that uptight prog metal pricks (like me) are looking for. I think the band's performance will make a lot of new fans. Maybe I'll go.
