I joined mainly cause my friends badgered me to do so, but it's turned out to be quite handy.

Miles better than MySpace too.

I've always though that MySpace makes more sense for bands to promote themselves and for people to use when seeking bands/music. If I didn't play in a band, I wouldn't have a myspace page. I think Facebook is good for people to network and keep in touch with friends, etc... At this point in my life, I have uses for both!

^ Agreed, the only thing I use it for is music. It's just convenient to be able to give someone a link and they can listen to your music right away.

Facebook is pretty good, I've found some old friends and turned down a bunch from my old school who would sooner spit on you then, and now want you to fill up their friends list.
