Reverence - When Darkness Calls

is this the band with Dr. Killdrums from Savatage on drums? If so, I would be interested on that alone....

definitely some faster and heavier material on the album. I've been rotating four REVERENCE songs including 'Too Late' on my show on Metal Messiah Radio for the past couple of months with some great feedback.

For those wishing to hear more, John will host a REVERENCE CD SHOWCASE on his METAL MADMAN Radio Show this Wednesday June 6th. Tune in and check it out!

Thanks for the mention! :kickass:

Yeah Reverence kicks ass. I remember getting the 4 demos eons ago, and telling Bryan he had something special on his hands.

I also wanna thank the band for mentioning me in the thank you section of the liner notes!

The album is available for only 5.99 in mp3 from their site but I recommend grabbing the physical CD for the bonus track "Lost Generation"! An AMAZING bonus track...not some filler! I believe its 9.99 plus a reasonable S&H fee.

As a fan of straight up, no frills, old school metal, I enjoyed this song. I'm really glad to see Steve behind a kit again. It's been too long!

Stay metal. Never rust.
Albert

Don't worry Bryan handled most of the writing on this album, and it does not disappoint! Can't stop spinning this badboy!

CD Showcase is LIVE now! Meet Bryan and Dr Killdrums (SAVATAGE) in the chatroom!

Not bad. Sorta by the numbers for me, but I have a feeling if I listened to the disc, there probably would be more variety and that this is their safe "single."

Their demo songs were killer!
I have only heard the video song so far from the new one.
I agree it's a lot "safer" than their other stuff.

Anyhow, I have been keeping up on this band since Bryan first contact me last year upon learning of our band.
He is a really cool dude, and they are truly doing it just for the love of playing metal.
They are not trying to be huge, and aren't even trying to milk the whole Jack Starr / Savatage / Tokyo Blade connection thing, like MANY other bands WOULD do in their shoes (Not saying using ALL marketing tactics is a bad thing, but it shows they just wanna play music they like).

it is funny you say this because when ever anyone mentions this band and even in this thread....those bands are all mentioned. If these guys were not in those bands would this band even get mentioned here or talked about?

They are not bad but nothing stands out from the other million bands that sound like this asides for them having members in other known bands.

Nope, nothing extremely original.
They mention it, but not as glaringly as other bands seem to do.
(IE - There haven't been multiple Blabbermouth headlines saying EX SAVATAGE / TOKYO BLADE members release new CD).

This band isn't planning world domination.
Doubt they will ever even do a proper US tour.

I have been trying to get them to come to Chicago to do a gig with us.

the disc is not bad....not lighting the world on fire, but a good listen
