Am I bullshitting ? Nope. Rick played in bands that can't write songs. He has a very unique delivery that only sounds like him. It is very dark as well. Does anyone think Sabbath and Rick might sound cool together ?
I happen to disagree if you mean Steel Prophet. I don't know what you have heard from them, but " Into The Void" "Dark Hallucinations", "Messiah" and " Genesis" are among the strongest album in my entire collection. I admit though that since "Book Of The Dead" they are on the road to nowhere as far as I am concerned. I just wonder what albums you heard?
Knowing you, you heard them all

Yes I think it would and I agree that Rick should be singing in a much better band. He's an awesome !! singer. Still I would rather hear him sing in a progressive metal band like SP tried to be on the albums I mentioned above.

Like Hawk I disagree regarding the quality of Steel Prophet and Taraxacum both bands write really good music, they are not another of the power bands bunch and Rick vocals are awsome, especially towards the last albums (in comparison with the early ones).
As for Black Sabbath, is a no no. I cannot see Rick with BS sorry, if you cannot Ozzy for the sake of tradition, Dio for the sake of quality or Martin for the sake of modernism, then get Nils Patrick Johanssen, Mats Leven or any doom singer.
I think that the stuff that he has done with Steel Prophet has actually been pretty good (including BOTD) so I can't really agree with that.
I do feel that nowadays he would be a much better fit for Black Sabbath than that sorry, medicated, reality-show starring, too-old-to-sing-Metal mope that they currently have singing for them.
