This is pretty sad. I've read a handful of his books and thought they were interesting reads. Nothing life changing, but very good reads none the less.
Edit: Jurassic Park the novel owned the movie. Just so ya know.

yeah when i was in like elementary school i read all his novels. i know he wrote a bunch of newer books but i stopped reading them after lke 1996 or so an the last book i read of his was "airframe" because it was new at the time but regardless i didn't like it much. i read pretty much all of them before however. Jurassic park, rising sun,great train robbery, jp2, andromeda strain (prob my fav), sphere, congo, a bunch of others i can't recall, and one of the best books i've read - travels.

the movie is good. the book is much better. as is the case most of the time.
