This is a truly tragic loss in the world of Metal!I was a huge fan of these guys.I've never missed a Voivod show.Seen 'em every time they've come to town since 1986.I've interviewed them on my show a couple times.the first was a one on one interview I did with Piggy back in '93 & again in '96.I interviewed Jason Newstead & Michel (the Drummer) 2 years ago when they played with Sepultura but Denis(Piggy) wasn't around I'm very saddened by this.
It's been abad year just a few month ago Yaz the old bassist for Heathen died in Rehab & former Metal Church vocalist David Wayne died ecently from injuries sustained in car wreck.Terrible!

Oh no! When did this happen? I have been a bit focused on auto stuff as of late.

That has to be one of my favorite groups. His guitar playing was one of a kind and ventured into things that not many others would. He influenced me in many ways with rhythm.

Will have to pull out some of the CD's.

My freind who works for Metallica and is an assitant to Jason Newstead told me Jason's taking thi spretty hard.Ibelieve the funeral was today.
I'm doing a tribute to Piggy on my show "Reality Check" tonight at 1:00 am on channel 29 in san Francisco only,I'm also playing a video by the Iron Maidens.
