I kinda liked the band back then even though I didn't listen to them a lot. One of the very very few good Nu Metal bands. RIP

I was listening to static x and other of my childhood bands the other day after a long time.

It feels weird that he just passed away.

I was trying to find that video, I think it's as Static-X, featuring a spacecraft or something like that ?

I saw Static-X open for Pantera and Slayer, they were pretty good if a bit miscast. I cant say that I kept up on his career much, but still really unfortunate news. Wisconsin Death Trip was a pretty exceptional album for that genre.

I was only a moderate fan until I saw them open for Slayer and Pantera in 2001. I remember saying to my buddy "I wonder if they'll open with get to the gone""...and not even 10 seconds later the lights just clicked off and they started playing that song and the place went nuts.

Like most people I enjoyed their first 2 albums and then lost interest, but one thing you could never say about static-x is they were generic.
