Anyone have any opinions on this converter?

http://www.rme-audio.com/english/adi/adi2.htm

Trying to figure out what soundcard to get for it is driving me nuts.
Do I need to make sure that the ad/da specs on the card match with the
converter?
I'd like to get something inexpensive of course but not if it will affect the quality of the RME.
Would this Audiophile 24/96 work?

Any comments or suggestions would rock!

Yeah, I've heard great sounding recordings done with it.
I just hope someone can tell me if it's an excellent match for the ADI-2
since I'm pretty clueless as far as connections and specs.

I am also considering the Echo Layla 24 or Echo Layla 3G but am assuming that the RME sounds way better with less possible issues. ???

For anyone else that may be curious about this, this is what I found out...

"Don't worry about the AD/DA spec of the additional soundcard as the
ADI-2 will do the actual conversion. Thus the soundcard doesn't affect any
conversation that goes through the ADI-2.

For that particular card, all that would be needed is a pair of S/PDIF
cables to connect the ADI2 to the MAudio 2496."
