From Raleigh down to the Florida keys. First week of February (hope it's warmed up some by then)
Just me and my former bandmate, some guitars, a mic and a macbook on the road for ten days. (hoping X50 V2 will be finished but I digress ;) )
My first time in the USA. REAL excited!!
That is all. Just wanted to tell!!!

If at all possible, try driving through some of the state routes instead of highways. It won't add much time, and you'll get to see true backwoods 'muricah. Also, if you get the chance, see if you can sign up for one of the snorkeling tours of Garden Key. It's about $75 per person IIRC, and there are a bunch of badass coral reefs and fish. Enjoy dude!!

Thanks man!!!! All duly noted.

It's the dirty south up until you cross the Miami-Dade county line. At that point, welcome to Latin America. Seriously it's an entirely different world down here, lot's of different cultures and unbelievable food all crammed into one place. Then it goes right back to the "south" again once you cross into the keys. Albeit an incredibly laid back, relaxed, and totally unique version of the south. Enjoy man!!

Thank you!! Maaaaaaan I can't wait!!!!

I still recall my very first roadtrip from PA to FL back when I was like 19 years old. We stopped to get rooms right near South of the Border, and I had to run back out to the car to get something, and as I was walking back into the hotel, some car comes flying passed and some crazy dude screams "CUT YOUR HAIR YOU FUCKING HIPPIE!!". How he even noticed me, I have no clue; it was dark and late.

bwahahahahahaha

fwiw I shave my head so....

The keys are fun, it's been so long since I've been there. I used to live in Key West, (for short amount of time) some of the best times in my life. Smoking pot with cops on some church steps with a diverse band of freaks. Dropping acid and drinking a whole bottle of robo, while I did push ups on a firetruck ridding down Duval. All the seasonal hotties from all over the world and they leave! So no strings.

Meeting porn stars, (forget who now) who where just standing there nude.

A lot more fun was had. It was great. To bad you don't eat meat, (I don't now either) that latin food in Miami is to kill for.

The only thing I didn't like was the occasional guy grabbing my ass. Lot of gay people, which I don't mind but keep your hands to yourself.

Well, have fun.
