Actually, roadrunner released Opeth`s last release (FYI, Mike of opeth was Bloodbath's vocalist), so please cut `em some slack. I am tired of the whole tr00 trve metal vs. metal u don`t like. In one torrent tracker`s commenting rules, it is clearly stated : "Respect THE uploader". That works for record labels too. You must take in to consideration, that labels bring you music and you can choose weather to buy it or leave it for someone else.

Well, Roadrunner sucks dick and if Katatonia and Bloodbath would sign to that label I probably would stop listening to them. They r just a moneyhungry label.
Im really sad that Opeth has signed to that crappy label, dont understand why they didnt go to Peaceville or century media instead, those labels are good and bloody good hehe.

Not everyone band would want to stay on some two bit small label their entire career. Eventually you'd want to break the ceiling.
Wow. You want them to stay on a small label their entire careers? I would assume that Roadrunner probably gives more money in support of tours and gives better incentives and support in general. I may be wrong about that but it seems likely to me. The label isnt going to do anything to the band. If the label does try to change a band, hopefully the band would say fuck off.
However, to say you would stop listening to a band because they are on a more well-known label is nothing more than ignorant. I don't know if Roadrunner pays better than any other labels but assumption tells me they probably do. So bottom line is when a band gets more popular a more popular record label picks them up and most likely gives them more money. All the hard work done by the band, the years busting their balls, is finally realized. So because of that you want to nsay you wouldnt listen to them? That is metal!

I'd be happy if they joined Roadrunner just because of the support they give their bands. I don't like the label, but they promote bands well.
I would just hate to see a Bloodbath music video and have a Bloodbath single, something like that would be stupid. Death metal and music videos/singles do not go together.
If something ever caused Bloodbath to join Roadrunner, I would hope Anders and the guys would not give in to such gayness and put albums only in their contract.
I don't even know why we're talking about all this since it will most likely not happen.

The torrent stuff was just an example, because the people that upload (or in this case, release artist's music) are the people, that help you get the stuff that you want, and whether the label has some artist's that you hate, the label still helps the fans see the music. If bloodbath signs RoadRunner i would probably would be happy, because we would probably get a nice tour :]
