Rob Zombie Enters New Comic Book Deal

Rob Zombie is rekindling his comic book career, signing a deal with MVCreations and CrossGen Entertainment for the release of his new comic series, Rob Zombie's Spook Show International.

The deal is for a six-issue horror-based comic mini-series. The first story begins with the evil Zombie freed from his eternal slumber. The second issue deals with several sub-plots from Zombie's recent movie House Of 1000 Corpses, and the third issue combines strip clubs, kidnapping, espionage, and monsters.

Zombie has long admitted to being heavily influenced by classic horror comics, from White Zombie through his solo work. For the booklet of his 1998 album Hellbilly Deluxe, Zombie had a dream come true--several of his comic book artist heroes contributed to the project.

The first issue of Rob Zombie's Spook Show International will be released on October 29.

Rob will actually be @ San Diego Comic-Con this weekend. He will be signing autographs etc. I am gonna be there on Friday , not for rob but just for the convention. If any of you have been , it's a huge convention.

Hey HOTU , yeah man , there is ALWAYS good celebs at the Comic Con in San Diego Every year .... I have been going for the past 7 years ... this year we met a few cast members from 28 days later , saw Crispin Glover , Kevin Smith , Halle Barry , Rob Zombie , Danzig , endless porn stars .... you name it , it's fun event. I am going next year as well .... you should definately come out and get a hotel , this way you can just walk to convention center .... we are booking our room in January since they go fast. This Con is HUGE .... not sure who the guests are gonna be yet but they never disappoint at that show
