THIS WEEK ON YOUR CLASSIC METAL SHOW: Robin McAuley is a very busy guy these days. While he's best known for his work with Michael Schenker in MSG, lately he's stayed very busy. He replaced longtime frontman Jimi Jamison in Survivor for starters. He's also working on a heavy project called Bleed, which we exclusively debuted on the show last week. He's done numerous side projects and tribute albums as well. But he released one project this year that really grabbed our attention. He's teamed up with a band known as the Demon Angels to create a cool, drivin' hard rock record called TIME OF CONFUSION. This record slams, and features the signature McAuley sound that he's famous for. We'll do a New Music Listening Party for TIME OF CONFUSION, and we're proud to announce that Robin will be stopping by the show to talk about Demon Angels, MSG, Bleed and whatever else comes up. it's gonna be a good one, so tune in early and rock out with YOUR CLASSIC METAL SHOW!
Next up, as the Christmas season rolls around, there's many great "Classic Metal" pieces of memorabilia being released. One such piece that really captures the glory of 80s metal is a new book called AMERICAN HAIR METAL! The book features photos and stories from the biggest bands of the 80s including Cinderella, Vain, Guns N' Roses and many, many more! We'll interview author Steven Blush to talk about how he got such great access to these bands back in the day, as well as letting all of you know about his new book, AMERICAN HAIR METAL!
Finally, Chris has been searching long and hard for members of one specific band that Neeley is a big fan of, and he's finally come across them. We'll have a mystery guest on the show - from a band that has been played at least 15-20 times this year alone on THE CLASSIC METAL SHOW, and we'll see if Neeley can figure out who it is. Curious? Well, Neeley is too so tune in to see how shocked he is about the resurfacing of this band!
